I painted this piece in the darkest days of winter, but it seems I was thinking of Spring. This one came right after my three big stained glass paintings, and I needed a change. It wasn't about the flowers, it was about the alternating dark and light of the composition, and most especially about the soft edges in the glass. I don't usually paint glass with soft edges, but it felt right. I enjoyed it.
